A Night at the Pictures - Just Like the Old Days!
Long before television became part of everyday life, a trip to the pictures was a special occasion. Now, as part of the Stroud 200 celebrations, we’re bringing a little of that old-fashioned cinema magic back to town!
Step back in time for a nostalgic evening of classic cinema featuring a double bill of Tall Timbers (1937) and Rangle River (1936) - films from an era when Stroud itself was still a young town.
Settle in and enjoy the movies the way they were meant to be enjoyed, complete with an intermission, popcorn and a candy bar!
The evening will begin with a fascinating short talk exploring the history of cinema in Stroud, hosted by Toogee Martial Arts and brought to life by a dedicated team of local volunteers.
So grab your friends, bring the family and join us for a fun-filled trip down memory lane. Whether you’re a classic film enthusiast or simply love a good dose of nostalgia, this is a night at the pictures you won’t want to miss!
