Heritage & History Walks

FREE EVENT

Take a walk through 200 years of Stroud’s history with fifth-generation Stroud resident and President of the Stroud & District Historical Society, Rodney Gorton.

As you wander through the town, Rodney will bring Stroud’s past to life, sharing stories, characters and fascinating glimpses into the people and events that have helped shape the town we know today.

Along the way, you’ll discover buildings of historical significance and visit Silo Hill and Stroud’s two museums - Quambi and the Courthouse, uncovering stories and secrets that you may never have noticed before.

For some, it will be a nostalgic walk down memory lane. For others, it will be an opportunity to see Stroud through new eyes and discover the rich history that lies behind its streets, buildings and landmarks.

Come for a walk. Stay for the stories. Discover Stroud.
