Back to Stroud Day
Come back to Stroud. Come back to your memories. Or simply come and make some new ones.
As part of Stroud’s 200th anniversary celebrations, Back to Stroud Day is a celebration of the people, stories, traditions and connections that have shaped our town over 200 years and beyond.
For those with a connection to Stroud, it’s a chance to come home, reconnect with old friends, revisit familiar places and share memories of days gone by.
But you don’t need to have a Stroud story of your own to be part of the day. Back to Stroud Day is also a great family day out, with a full program of entertainment, activities and experiences celebrating both Stroud’s past and its vibrant community today.
Come along to the Stroud Showground and enjoy:-
- historic displays
- bullock wagon / heavy horse demonstrations and rides
- historic vehicles and displays
- Worimi cultural village
- artisan craft demonstrations
- markets
- family activities
- rodeo style exhibitions
- live entertainment
- and plenty of opportunities to discover the stories behind this remarkable little town.
There’ll be something for all ages, whether you’re reminiscing about Stroud as you remember it or discovering it for the very first time.
Take a walk through the Heritage Lounge, see the history, meet the people who make Stroud special, enjoy the atmosphere. Then stay for an evening of live music as we bring the celebrations to a spectacular close with The Bushwackers taking to the stage.
Back to Stroud Day is about remembering where we’ve come from, celebrating where we are today and enjoying the people, stories and experiences that bring us together.
Whether you’re coming back to Stroud or discovering it for the first time, come for the memories, stay for the fun and celebrate 200 years of Stroud with us.
